Volunteers support and enhance services at South London and Maudsley. We are supported by about 400 volunteers from all walks of life annually who bring their skills, experience, and passion to the Trust. There are a variety of roles for volunteers – including befriending service users, helping occupational therapists and gardening.
Peer support volunteers
Use your personal lived experience to support other service users. As a volunteer peer supporter, you will give one-to-one support and attend social events together.
What we look for in a volunteer
You can volunteer if you are aged over 16. We ask all volunteers to make a commitment of at least three hours per week for nine months so that we can create long-lasting and meaningful roles and relationships with staff and service users.
