King’s Volunteers play a crucial role in enhancing the experience of patients and visitors across the Trust by providing practical support that complements the efforts of paid staff. While they do not engage in clinical work, their contributions significantly improve the hospital environment.

Who Can Volunteer
King’s Volunteers come from diverse backgrounds and range in age from 16 to 88. A minimum age of 16 is required to volunteer. The volunteer base reflects a rich diversity, with 74% coming from Black, Asian, or minority ethnic backgrounds. Enthusiasm and confidence are key traits of our volunteers, who are dedicated to making the hospital experience more welcoming and comfortable for everyone.
